Which Came First

This one was sorta fun as Ted would say.

This is my spot at the studio kitchen table.

In real life you would not be able to see most of the table cloth

for the stacks of books and magazines awaiting their turn

as the lunchtime literature.

And I bought the egg cup service on Ebay for another painting

that is in the pipeline for next summer’s show.

But one day Imy’s teacup was just sitting there

and the napkin had been left unfolded after breakfast

and the magnifying glass was keeping the Gazette from blowing around the room

and Aunt Millie’s silver bell was ringing

and there ya go.

Then I hunted around for the chicken…or was it the egg ?
