Windfall

Ah Ted,

You did it again.

This was all his idea.

We had been playing in the Magnusons’ orchard
for a few hours going from pose to pose
so I could come up with the right angle from which
to capture those apples…
and my muse cum model.

He was steady enough on his 95 year old pegs
but I kept tripping on the fallen apples
while focusing through the camera lens.

Ted laid the basket down
and reached over to pick one of them up.

Ya know Heather
you outta do a painting of these here on the ground
and call it Windfall.
