When does an original painting become available for prints ?
My policy is to only make prints available after an original painting has been sold. Choosing which paintings to reproduce is up to the artist, but I welcome suggestions and requests.
What’s the difference between the HN Studio Fine Art Prints and the Giclee Strider’s Surrender prints ?
Both use the same 100% Cotton Rag Fine Art Paper and the same archival inks. The only difference is that the Strider’s Surrender prints are published in limited editions with full documentation and certificates. Once they are sold out no more will be printed. The Strider’s Surrender prints are also special in that we donate a substantial portion of the profits from each sale to the Martha’s Vineyard Museum and Historical Society, and to the Dukes County Fisherman’s Association.
We currently have some of both sizes still available.
What is an image size ?
The image size tells you the dimension of the image. It is usually a few inches smaller than the paper size to allow for matting and framing. The images are sized to fill as much of the paper size as possible and since some of the paintings are wider in proportion I have chosen to print them on larger paper. The prices are a bit higher for the larger sizes.
I want a print of a painting that is not listed…can I get it ?
We will be adding more images as time goes on… but if you have one in particular that you are interested in and don’t see here please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
What are Painter’s Notes ?
These are journal notes that I write up for each painting. You can read them on the website by clicking on the thumbnail for a particular image (either from the Prints page or from the Portfolio page) …which opens up the full sized image window…down on the bottom left is the icon for the Painter’s Notes…a quill pen. Click it and the Painter’s Notes window opens.
I don’t like Paypal is there any other way to pay for my order ?
Sure. We use Paypal because it is a tried and tested secure payment option and the only electronic one currently available for us here in the studio. But we can also accept checks via the good old US Postal Service. Just include a note with the titles of prints you want to order, the addresses for delivery, and info so we can contact you (include email). We will contact
you upon receipt of the check to confirm the order.

When will my order arrive ?
We aim to ship each order within a few days of receipt of payment. All packages will be shipped and tracked via Fedex. We’ll contact you immediately if there is a delay for any reason.
My print arrived damaged what can I do ?
Please be in touch right away. We’ll take care of any shipping issues and get a replacement right out to you.
Please note that the surface of any print is fragile and easily scratched. Each print is packaged so as to be easily removed from the tube before unrolling. Use care when handling.
