A room with a view
that is changing.

Thirty years ago
you could not see
the ocean from here.

In fact
thirty years ago the house
was thirty feet closer to the edge of the bluff.a

And a good half
of that distance has washed away.

But once the house
was moved and settled into her current
resting place
I began to chronicle
the slow reveal.

Last summer
you could count the cars on Squibby beach.
