The Bailout Plan

It is always a scary time for artists when the economy dries up.
Let’s face it…
most of us live pretty far out there on the edges already
so that when our little boats
creatively patched together with canvas and discarded paint tubes
begin to take on water
well it can make for some shaky brush strokes.

But like the venerable Pete Seeger
who set about to save the rivers
one teaspoon at a time
I think we need to help each other out
so, grab a teacup off the shelf
and a good sense of humor
and let’s start bailing.
