The Shake Up

The garden series continues…

But this was my first crop of onions
and I really didn’t have the hang of the compost pile yet
and so it was literally
some pretty slim pickin’s when I went out
to find a candidate for this portrait.

It makes me very happy that this painting
is now in my friend Barb’s collection
because she and I have spent
many an hour
solving all the problems of the world
over an upside down
martini glass.
