a text..
from the jungle…
from Granary Gallery qwner Chris Morse…
“I thought your hat should cross a suspended bridge in the rain forest
today…in the shadow of the volcano Arenal in Costa Rica…cheers.”
That’s sorta fun…and thoughtful indeed.
Peg among the Arctic…
So happy to post this pic of Dear Peggy Cohn,
The Queen of Adventure
who is on a grand tour of New Zealand.
She proudly sports her HN Artisan gear and it brings smiles to us here in the studio.
Go Peg !!!
Today marks the annual pulling up of the drawbridge…
which signals the beginning of the next chapter
in the “Oeuvre” of this artiste.
As the days lean into the lengthening shadows, and the winds whistle through the greying trees,
let the lights of the season
flicker in your souls.
Deep breath…
I’m heading for the easel….
I don’t get to use this category very often…
the “Where’s YOUR hat been lately” one.
Partly because they are now a vintage item. I’ve been meaning to update the logo
and order some new ones because it’s kinda fun and I’ve noticed the ones on the heads of friends and patrons starting to look a little ragged.
But yesterday I brought out the original to mark the occasion of our first visit to Camden Yards. It was the perfect day for a baseball game and Scott Allocco brought us to his park to play. Nice bonus that the O’s were playing the Red Sox, I left that hat at home.
And, in answer to the Sox fans who lamented my desertion…I’m a fair weather fan at best and a sucker for a good hat.
A beautiful day with a fine friend and another check on the bucket list.
Back in the studio it’s time to …PLAY BALL !
Here we are among the aspens in the high desert mountains above Santa Fe…what an amazing week of adventures.
No time now to sort through those couple thousand shots, as we regroup and repack for MV. We leave tomorrow to settle in to the relaxing pace of island time for a few weeks to catch our newlywed breath and to let the creative muses be re-nourished.
I hope to return to the studio, and this blog, in November with fresh ideas and images so I bid you all an autumn full of changing leaves, cool days and warm apple pies…and colorful yarn passing over rapidly clicking knitting needles.
Stay frosty out there my friends…

Patrons Doug and Scott traveled to Syria and sent this snapshot complete with 200 AD funeral tower in the background…
Looks like that visor is keeping you safe in that desert sun Scott…but I’d watch my back…not sure about the gleem in that camel’s eye…

Now here’s the life…
Miss Katie, the future gallery owner, in her shades soaking up the Florida rays and promoting the arts !
Love it K, but where are your knitting needles ?
There’s enough warmth in your smile to make this blustery February day up north feel just a little bit better.
Shine on kiddo,
HN
